About the event

"Women are nurturers, peacemakers," Stinson says. "We have to spend some time in the clinic convincing them they ought to be violent when they or their daughters are attacked, that it is no virtue to allow yourself to be overwhelmed by assailants. Once the ladies internalize that, they get very diligent about learning the violent techniques that we teach."

Stinson is a veteran of one of America’s most lethal direct Action Special Operations units, the Army's 75th Ranger Regiment. "Violence of action" was central to Ranger combat doctrine, and Stinson believes it must underlie any genuine women's self-defense program. Women must decide in advance to harm their attackers and let the medical profession deal with the consequences.

"We're not teaching martial arts," he says. "This isn't a sport or a hobby. We're teaching ladylike women and girls, whether they're athletic or not, to inflict immediate devastating violence on criminal assailants in life-and-death situations."

"Violence of Action" students are taught situational awareness, and mental rehearsal techniques to keep their skills fresh. Stinson teaches a suite of other self-defense clinics, including firearms and survival courses, at various locations across Southern California.

Offered once a month - $100
